I had a lot of fun shooting John’s Touring. Just like the car, I wanted my photos to be simplistic and easy to look at; while focusing on small aspects. Emphasizing the lighting conditions in the highlights and midtones then adding contrast back into the shadows.

When looking through a “black and white lens”, I try to look for strong, contrasting lighting conditions, which presented themselves during sunset. I love bright highlights and dark shadows in my photos; especially in the black and white style. These circumstances resulted in a handful of photos being my favourite work out of 2022 so far.

This whole shoot was taken on my Sony A7ii with a Sigma Art 35mm.
